2021-10-22block: remove support for cryptoloop and the xor transferGravatar Christoph Hellwig 1-206/+0
Support for cyrptoloop has been officially marked broken and deprecated in favor of dm-crypt (which supports the same broken algorithms if needed) in Linux 2.6.4 (released in March 2004), and support for it has been entirely removed from losetup in util-linux 2.23 (released in April 2013). The XOR transfer has never been more than a toy to demonstrate the transfer in the bad old times of crypto export restrictions. Remove them as they have some nasty interactions with loop device life times due to the iteration over all loop devices in loop_unregister_transfer. 2018-09-28block: cryptoloop: Remove VLA usage of skcipherGravatar Kees Cook 1-11/+11
In the quest to remove all stack VLA usage from the kernel[1], this replaces struct crypto_skcipher and SKCIPHER_REQUEST_ON_STACK() usage with struct crypto_sync_skcipher and SYNC_SKCIPHER_REQUEST_ON_STACK(), which uses a fixed stack size. 2017-09-26block: cryptoloop - Fix build warningGravatar Corentin Labbe 1-2/+0
This patch fix the following build warning: drivers/block/cryptoloop.c:46:8: warning: variable 'cipher' set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable] Signed-off-by: Corentin Labbe <clabbe.montjoie@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <axboe@kernel.dk>
2016-12-24Replace <asm/uaccess.h> with <linux/uaccess.h> globallyGravatar Linus Torvalds 1-1/+1
This was entirely automated, using the script by Al: PATT='^[[:blank:]]*#[[:blank:]]*include[[:blank:]]*<asm/uaccess.h>' sed -i -e "s!$PATT!#include <linux/uaccess.h>!" \ $(git grep -l "$PATT"|grep -v ^include/linux/uaccess.h) to do the replacement at the end of the merge window. This patch replaces uses of blkcipher with the new skcipher interface. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>

2008-04-18drivers: Remove unnecessary inclusions of asm/semaphore.hGravatar Matthew Wilcox 1-1/+0
None of these files use any of the functionality promised by asm/semaphore.h. It's possible that they rely on it dragging in some unrelated header file, but I can't build all these files, so we'll have fix any build failures as they come up. Signed-off-by: Matthew Wilcox <willy@linux.intel.com>
2007-10-24SG: Change sg_set_page() to take length and offset argumentGravatar Jens Axboe 1-7/+2
Most drivers need to set length and offset as well, so may as well fold those three lines into one. Add sg_assign_page() for those two locations that only needed to set the page, where the offset/length is set outside of the function context. Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <jens.axboe@oracle.com>

2006-09-21[BLOCK] cryptoloop: Use block ciphers where applicableGravatar Herbert Xu 1-106/+54
This patch converts cryptoloop to use the new block cipher type where applicable. As a result the ECB-specific and CBC-specific transfer functions have been merged. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2005-09-01[CRYPTO]: Use CRYPTO_TFM_REQ_MAY_SLEEP where appropriateGravatar Herbert Xu 1-2/+4
This patch goes through the current users of the crypto layer and sets CRYPTO_TFM_REQ_MAY_SLEEP at crypto_alloc_tfm() where all crypto operations are performed in process context. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Gravatar Linus Torvalds 1-0/+268
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
