2024-04-25mm: page_alloc: consolidate free page accountingGravatar Johannes Weiner 1-10/+2
Free page accounting currently happens a bit too high up the call stack, where it has to deal with guard pages, compaction capturing, block stealing and even page isolation. This is subtle and fragile, and makes it difficult to hack on the code. Now that type violations on the freelists have been fixed, push the accounting down to where pages enter and leave the freelist. 2024-01-08mm, treewide: rename MAX_ORDER to MAX_PAGE_ORDERGravatar Kirill A. Shutemov 1-1/+1
commit 23baf831a32c ("mm, treewide: redefine MAX_ORDER sanely") has changed the definition of MAX_ORDER to be inclusive. This has caused issues with code that was not yet upstream and depended on the previous definition. To draw attention to the altered meaning of the define, rename MAX_ORDER to MAX_PAGE_ORDER.
